The Medical Assistant Program at Swedish Institute focuses on acquiring the administrative and clinical skills needed to help keep the offices of physicians and other health care practitioners running smoothly. Laboratory procedures, electrocardiography, how to read vital signs, and medical office administration are all part of the curriculum offered both day and evening.
Upon successful completion of the Medical Assistant Program, students receive an Associate in Occupational Studies degree and are well prepared to begin their medical assisting career.
